STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) students will learn that not everything will go perfectly the first time. I always knew that my designs would need to be improved (or sometimes completely trashed and start over) as I progressed. It is a fact of technical life. Building “useless” things helps you not to stress about making these changes.
